We are headed to Western Kansas today for a family reunion on my Grandma's side of the family. Sharon Springs, KS to be exact. According to Wikipedia, the 2000 census gave the town population of 885. Not far from it is Mt. Sunflower. Although it's not actually a mountain, it is the highest point in Kansas, which is funny because it's next to the lowest point in Colorado. It is 4,039 feet.

For all you adventurous vacationers out there, if you are looking for the perfect get-away...I think you need to check out Sharon Springs. ;) We'll let you know how our stay is at the Oak Tree Inn!!! Giddy-up.
